Help. Do you have any recommendations for a 1st timer in what to order?
I just ate enough food for 4 people. The dishes are good, not great, and they are huge. Everyone I ordered had the home cooked feel. Like mama was in the kitchen, cooking in up and serving it in portions that will make her children full and fat. All of the dishes were rich and hearty. I had the baked ravioli as an appetizer and the Lombardo's Linguine with sausage for dinner. The dinner cam with a side salad and bread. Again....I am stuffed. My order was enough for 4 adults. Uhhhg.
MoreNice service and good food. The Caesar salad dressing is a particular favorite. Everything tastes home made and is generally well prepared and served with a flourish. The decor is white tablecloth Italian which is nice, but a bit dated. The look could be upgraded some. The prices are a bit higher than other local eateries due (no doubt) to their proximity to the airport and area hotels, but on the whole the cost of menu items is in line with other business lunch menus.
MoreI can't think of any bad thing to say about this place it was wonderful very clean very friendly and helpful waitresses
MoreArrived. Was seated. The restaurant wasn't even half full. We didn't see a waiter. After we hadn't been waited on for fifteen minutes, we attempted to flag down a waiter, but were ignored for 15 more minutes. When we were finally helped, we were told to wait some more. Then the waiters went right back to ignoring us for another five minutes. When we got up to leave, one waiter finally asked us in a nasty tone if he could get us something to drink. I can only assume these people are homophobic. Definitely not going back.
MoreThe service was good and the food was okay. Would be better if they had a mozzarella option for those that do not like provel.
MoreI don't know why this place has a 3.9 rating. The food was delicious and the people are fantastic. The sausage was spicy, the tortellini perfectly stuffed and the sauce made it wild. The garlic bread with cheese was so flavor and moist it could be a meal all of it's own. The place looks nice, however, the carpet is dated and the lighting a little dark for my liking (they're trying to set a romantic mood but with so much dark colors throughout the place it doesn't quite work). When I first arrived an old gentleman, employee, was sitting at the bar area with both legs propped up on a stool with hands behind his neck. We locked eyes and he sat there while we stared at eachothr for about 8 seconds. He finally got up to seat me but by then I got someone else's attention. If I'm ever in the St. Louis area again I will definitely come here again.
MoreGreat atmosphere, delicious cuisine and professional staff.
Nice place with friendly staff. Good, classic Italian fare, and strong drinks from the bar.
MoreThey have wonderful service, fantastic appetizers and I really enjoyed the pizza. Their fresh bread is a nice treat as well.
MoreThis food is just amazing! The flavors are rich, layered, and delicious! The turtle soup is served with a side of brandy, the olive oil is seasoned to perfection, the handmade ravioli are the ones to beat for sure! If you are looking for Italian food these people know what they are doing!
MoreGood service. Helpful in meeting my dietary needs.
Excellent service, great food!
Excellent service and food. Our waiter was extremely friendly and polite and fast. Food was very good. Had Salmon, friends had lasagna and veal. All great dishes and flavorful
MoreFrom the dated decor to the horrible food, this is a must skip dining adventure. Upon walking in, you will be greeted by the stench of what can only be described as vomit. Being seated and ordering are what you'd expect from any restaurant. The food, however, is not good. Overcooked chicken (that was also still cold from being refrigerated) to cream of mushroom soup straight out of the can, you WILL be disappointed. Save yourself a chunk of coin and take your hungry belly elsewhere. Trust me.
MoreExpensive and bland. Nothing else to say portions were good but not worth eating
We good quality food. Very tasty and Nice presentation of food.Staff is very helpful for choosing best food and drinks.I cut one 🌟 because it is too costly.
MoreThis restaurant is located next door to our hotel so we decided to try it out. It has a nice family Italian restaurant feel to the decor. They were somewhat busy but we were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and quick, almost a feeling of being rushed, but we made due. The plates were very good, we had lasagna, and a chicken special with mushrooms, artichoke, and wine sauce. Both were very good! Wine selection is pretty nice too. On the opposite side on the dinning room they have a bar with some tables also if you want to have a lighter atmosphere. The restaurant itself is pretty casual, so don't feel obligated dress up. Will come back if I'm sent to the same hotel next door again.
MoreWanted Lasagna and thought I'd give them a try, turned out to be a great choice. Left absolutely full there Lasagna was great as well as the appetizer. Unfortunately I was dining by my self and this would have been a great date night out.
MoreThe place is nice and cosy, the food took for ever but arrived hot! The pizzaburger just didn't cut it. Wasn't too exciting and felt like just another cheeseburger. The lasagne was nice.
MoreHave been looking for good lasagna, it was okay could have had less ricotta cheese, more mozzarella cheese, been hot.
MoreGood atmosphere but I was expecting better from the food. Also, the waiter made us wait for an extended time for the bill.
MoreVery good food, well presented, appetizers, salads, entrees well timed with no rush or waiting between. Quiet enough for a couple to enjoy conversation yet children were welcome. Price was appropriate for well classed restaurant. Server was great (didn't get her name), acknowledged my 16yr old grandson as an equal/adult.
MoreWe had a great meal. My husband, who grew up in St Louis, has never had a bad meal here. We appreciate the tradition of good food and family.
MoreDelicious! Perhaps not quite as elegant service as the old Lombardos of 40 years ago, but the children & grandchildren of the original proprietors carry on in the family tradition of sensational Italian cuisine.
MoreAn excellent place for Italian food! I had the veal parmigiana and my wife had the veal saltimbocca. The food and service were great. I'll definitely look to go again when in the area.
MoreHonestly this restaurant shouldn't even have one star!!! First the food was very overpriced to get terrible service, the waitress seemed like she was bothered and had a attitude. Got the entrees I got some seafood pasta in a broth like soup. Nothing had any seasoning it was water with parsley, so the manger came around and asked how is everything I took a deep & pause and said,"I don't like my dish." So I got spaghetti and meatballs which was honestly spaghetti o's. Lastly the waitress sneezed in her mask directly on my mans dish!!!!!!!!!!!! If you really want some authentic Italian food go to The Hill!!!!
MoreWas very nice and welcomeing. Food was great . friends birhday. Will go again for sure thanks
MoreEverybody was nice. The food was alright, just sort of what I would cook at home. I ordered the linguine with meat sauce - not very much meat, all mixed up (see pic below), no good platting. Very little cheese given. The salad and house dressing were excellent. Also got sliced bread and butter included with it. Menu prices on their website don't match the menu given in person so I ended up paying more than expected. The place had an "old" feel. Service was extremely fast.
MoreOrdered chicken parm to-go. Not good at all. The chicken had a pungent taste, the pasta was over cooked, the red sauce was plain tomato sauce and the alfredo sauce was watery and did not taste good. My soup was missing from my order. The best part was the bread and butter. The staff was very nice and the place looked cozy. The food needs some work though.
MoreI had dinner here with a friend. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the best time. Ray was our server and he didn't even let our drinks get halfway empty. I will be back when I'm next in St. Louis!
MoreThe veal scalapini was excellent and my wife's chicken parmigiana was also excellent! The service was awesome!I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant.
MoreGood food but high prices.
I’ve been here twice while staying in the area for work travel and both times the food was not good! Fine dinning prices with Denny’s food quality! Go somewhere else
MoreSimply the best. Service is above and beyond. Presentation is exceptional.
Great staff and service but food wasn't on par with their prices.
Excellent food, very attentive and friendly staff, I wish I lived closer!
Had the seafood linguine, basically got decent seafood pieces with a dry noodle base.... pricey for such quality and then another order with chicken marsala without the artichokes ( possibly out of season but wasnt told either way). The $6 salad was a basic iceberg lettuce with a coating of parmesan and a tomato which was to say a bit sad.
MoreReally nice place and people. Food is Awsome.
Fun staff. Fantastic food. I will be coming here again next time I'm in St. Louis.
MoreHad my wedding dinner here and the experience was wonderful. Staff was amazing!!
Oh my! You want true Italian cuisine? This is it! And wine prices for a budget or priced and selection for the sommelier of your group.Close to the airport and the best choice you can make if you are anywhere near St. Louis international.
MoreMy eldest son's birthday party.
The service was great. Our servers were friendly and had a sense of humor. My filet mignon was tender, juicy and medium rare, just as I ordered it. We will be back.
MoreConvenient location by the airport and hotels. Service was excellent. We ordered 2 appetizers, calamari and toasted ravioli, to share for the six of us. Waitress separated the appetizers into six portions. Both the calamari and toasted ravioli was tasty and well presented. A couple of us ordered the catch of the day, grouper with asparagus. The dish was good and well prepared, although one of the dishes was under cooked. The owner/manager offered another and promptly removed the charge. The rest of the entrees looks great and our group seemed to enjoyed their meal. The only strange thing is that The Lombardo's does not offer spaghetti and meatball.
MoreMy waitress was very nice. I had the veal saltimbocca, it wasn't horrible. Being from Boston area and eating in the North End, maybe I am spoiled. But I was very disapointed, considering the reviews I heard from my St. Louis colleagues. Nothing to write home about.
MoreGreat food. Excellent service.
Wonderful place for any occasion. The wife and I had our wedding dinner there and the service was over the top. We will return
MoreMy family and I have been coming here for years and, as usual, always a great experience! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and food was excellent!
MoreAmazing food and service. Wonderful Italian dishes. I live near the airport and never realized such a nice restaurant was just around the corner. I went there for the first time tonight on Valentine's day and they made it really special.
MoreAlways a great place to eat. Food is excellent as well as the service. Highly recommend this place
